Purpose and Function of the Salish Regional FYSPRT
The Salish Regional Family, Youth, and System Partner Round Table (FYSPRT) provides an equitable forum and an opportunity for families, youth, and systems partners voices to be heard. Salish FYSPRT identifies and strengthens community resources to address the individualized behavioral health needs of children, youth, and families. We encourage collaborative efforts influenced by the experiences and expertise of all participants dedicated to building seamless behavioral health services, and:
1. Provide a working partnership among diverse family, youth, systems, and community partners that bring a broad perspective to build and strengthen relationships inclusive of family and youth voice in decision-making processes.
2. Identify family, youth, systems, and community needs.
3. Create options and opportunities to address family and youth priorities.
4. Promote family and youth-driven solutions to address system challenges and barriers.
5. Develop common ground through mutual learning amongst all participants.
6. Provide leadership and influence for the establishment and sustainability of the Washington State Children’s Behavioral Health System.
7. Provide input on strategies in support of implementing changes to the Washington State Children’s Behavioral Health System.
8. Monitor accountability and effectiveness through evaluation of meetings.

Salish FYSPRT supports the six goals of the Washington state System of Care (SOC) which are to:
1. Infuse SOC values in all child-serving systems.
2. Expand and sustain effective leadership roles for families, youth, and system partners.
3. Establish an appropriate array of services and resources statewide, including home- and community-based services.
4. Develop and strengthen a workforce that will operationalize SOC values.
5. Build a strong data management system to inform decision-making and track outcomes.
6. Develop sustainable financing and align funding to ensure services are seamless for children, youth, and families.

Salish Regional FYSPRT Membership
Salish regional FYSPRT membership is comprised of family, youth, and system partners. Meetings are facilitated by the FYSPRT Convener and Tri-Leads (family, youth and system partner leads who work together to facilitate meetings) and are open to the public. Participation outside of program membership is welcomed to attend and provide input and feedback regarding community needs.

Salish Regional FYSPRT decision making
- Prior to Salish Regional FYSPRT making any program decisions all Tri-Leads have an opportunity to provide input. Salish FYSPRT decisions reflect the combined contributions and collaboration of Tri-Leads and membership.
Communication
- Salish Regional FYSPRT Tri-Leads are updated regarding information from the statewide FYSPRT meetings by the Salish FYSPRT Convener. Salish FYSPRT Tri-Leads are encouraged and supported in attending statewide FYSPRT meetings for information sharing in their community. If desired and appropriate, any item or concern will be added to a future regional FYSPRT agenda to be addressed by the regional FYSPRT membership.
Social marketing
- Salish Regional FYSPRT will maintain a social marketing plan including both a website and brochure to share information with the community. The plan will be developed in consideration of the diversity of the community including considerations for tribal engagement.

Salish Regional FYSPRT meetings
- Meeting schedule – minimum of 10 meetings per year
- Meetings are held on the last Monday of the month from 3:00 – 5:00 PM
- Meeting agenda – will be determined by the tri-leads based on input from the community.
- Agenda will be distributed to members at least one week before the meeting occurs.
- Meeting norms or comfort/value agreement – created by members and participants.
- Meetings begin and end on time.
- FYSPRT membership is encouraged to suggest topics for future meetings
- FYSPRT program stipend, and travel and childcare reimbursement always offered
- The opportunity for program feedback is always offered
