Salish Family Youth System Partner Round Table (FYSPRT)
The FYSPRT Model creates opportunities for family, youth and system partners to have courageous conversations on what needs to be done to improve and create local youth behavioral health services based on local and regional needs.
RESPECT
Families and youth as well as service providers will value what each brings to the table without judgment, meeting each where they are.
EQUITY
All members have value and expertise in a particular area (Mental Health, Family/Youth Perspective, Education, etc..) and all expertise is valued equally.
GIVE AND TAKE
Everyone gives and everyone receives, everyone learns and everyone teaches. There is the expectation that all members will give and receive in achieving the goals of the group.
PARTNERSHIP
Families, youths and service providers will work together to find solutions that work well for everyone. All groups will look for shared truth in achieving goals.
EMPOWERMENT
Families as well as service providers will learn new skills to be able to be more self-sufficient in their own communities. Families and youth will have skills to share their voices to express what they need and what is helpful.
SUPPORT
Families and youth as well as service providers will receive support when needed.
